This premium construction ensures both enhanced durability and a lightweight feel, complemented by a textured matte glass back and a Ceramic Shield front for improved drop resistance.

Storage Options

Both models are available in multiple storage capacities: the iPhone 16 Pro offers 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations.

Dimensions and Weight

In terms of dimensions, the iPhone 16 Pro measures 5.89 inches in height, 2.81 inches in width, and 0.32 inches in depth, weighing 199 grams. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is slightly larger at 6.42 inches in height and 3.06 inches in width, with the same depth and a weight of 227 grams.

Display

The Super Retina XDR OLED display offers exceptional clarity and colour accuracy. The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch diagonal display (2622 x 1206 pixels at 460 ppi), while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch diagonal (2868 x 1320 pixels at 460 ppi). Both feature Dynamic Island, Always-On display, and ProMotion adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, as well as HDR, True Tone, Wide colour (P3), and Haptic Touch. They provide a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, brightness up to 2000 nits outdoors, and are coated with a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic layer.

Water and Dust Resistance

Both are IP68-rated for splash, water, and dust resistance up to 6 metres for 30 minutes.

Apple Intelligence

The devices introduce Apple Intelligence — an integrated personal intelligence system designed to assist with writing, creative expression, and task automation, underpinned by robust privacy protections.

Performance

Powered by the A18 Pro chip, they feature a 6-core CPU (2 performance and 4 efficiency cores), a 6-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine for exceptional performance across applications.

Camera System

The advanced camera system includes a 48MP Fusion wide camera (24mm, ƒ/1.78) with second-generation sensor-shift OIS, a 12MP 2x telephoto (48mm, ƒ/1.78), a 48MP ultra-wide (13mm, ƒ/2.2, 120° FOV), and a 12MP 5x telephoto (120mm, ƒ/2.8, 3D sensor-shift OIS). Features like Action mode, macro video, and four studio-quality microphones with wind noise reduction ensure professional-grade video and audio capture.

Front Camera

The TrueDepth front camera offers a 12MP sensor (ƒ/1.9) with autofocus, supporting features like Photonic Engine, Deep Fusion, Portrait and Night modes, Animoji/Memoji, and 4K Dolby Vision video recording.

Security and Payment Options

Security and payment options include Face ID facial recognition, Apple Pay (with Face ID authentication), Apple Cash, and Apple Card integration.

Safety Features

Safety features encompass Emergency SOS via satellite, Crash Detection, Roadside Assistance via satellite, satellite messaging, and Find My via satellite.

Connectivity

For connectivity, both models support 5G (sub-6 GHz and mmWave) with 4x4 MIMO, Gigabit LTE, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth 5.3, a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, Thread networking, NFC with reader mode, and Express Cards with power reserve.

Location Services

Environmentally, the devices contain over 25% recycled materials, including 95% recycled lithium in the battery — an industry first — and recycled aluminium, cobalt, gold, copper, tin, tungsten, magnets, steel, and plastics. Packaging is 100% fibre-based (66% recycled) and manufacturing uses 30% renewable electricity with zero landfill waste at final assembly sites. Languages and Keyboards

The phones support a wide range of languages and keyboards (including English, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, and Korean), along with predictive typing, autocorrection, multilingual input, and QuickPath swipe typing.

Supported Mail Attachment Types

Supported mail attachment types include images (.jpg, .tiff, .gif), documents (.doc, .pdf, .ppt, .xls, .txt, .rtf), and other files (.key, .numbers, .pages, .vcf, .zip, .ics, .usdz).
