How do my clients decide which core health insurance option is right for them?
To determine the most suitable health insurance option, clients should consider their lifestyle, budget, and the medical conditions or illnesses that concern them the most.

Comprehensive Cover: Provides eligible medical costs from diagnosis to treatment for acute conditions, cancer, and mental health, as long as they remain a Bupa member.

Treatment and Care Cover: Covers all eligible treatment for acute conditions following a diagnosis by a consultant through the NHS or self-funded care, for as long as they are a Bupa member.
What does the full cancer cover include?
With Bupa’s full cancer cover:

There are no limits on treatment duration or cost.

Clients must visit a hospital or health centre within their chosen network and consult a recognised consultant who charges within Bupa’s allowances.
What isn’t covered as part of Bupa By You cover?
Bupa By You covers new eligible conditions that occur after the cover starts. It does not cover:

Pre-existing medical conditions or symptoms that existed before the policy began.

Chronic, long-standing conditions.

Cosmetic surgery or treatments.

What happens when my client becomes a Bupa member?

Start of Cover: Clients are covered from the moment they agree on their level of cover and set up a Direct Debit.

Cooling-Off Period: Clients can cancel their policy within 21 days of the start date for a full refund, provided no claims have been made.

Policy Documents: Members will receive detailed documentation outlining their coverage and how to make a claim.

Renewal: Prior to renewal, clients will receive a renewal pack with details of the new premium. Annual cover is automatically renewed unless cancelled.
Can my clients add other members of their family to their membership?
Yes, clients can add dependants to their policy at any time, including:

Is my client’s cover renewed every year?
Yes, annual cover is renewed automatically unless the client decides to cancel. Bupa will notify clients at least 28 days before the renewal date, providing information on premium changes and renewal options. Clients can also adapt their policy at renewal to reflect changing circumstances.
